Domenico Bertucci, CA - Chief Financial Officer, Interim COO
Mr. Domenico Bertucci has a B.A. in Economics and Business from York University, Toronto (1986) and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1991. His working experience includes ten years as Chief Financial Officer for Twin Mining Corporation.
R. Charles (Chuck) Allen, L.L.B., B.Ed. – Director
Mr. Allen has a diverse background including experience as a senior executive, an investment banker, and a finance / M&A lawyer. He has been involved in more than $5 billion in equity, debt and M&A transactions, and has been a Board member of a number of public companies. He has also worked internationally in various regions including Europe, Canada and the U.S., Africa, Caribbean, and Central and South America. Mr. Allen is currently president of Giyani Gold Corp. (TSXV: WDG), a Canadian based gold exploration company with properties in South Africa and Ontario. Previously, he was the President of a gold mining company with producing assets in southern Africa and a diamond exploration company with assets in the Northwest Territories. During his tenure, Mr. Allen managed more than 1,000 employees and more than doubled revenues. Mr. Allen received his L.L.B. and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta.
Al Doherty, P. Geo. – Director
Mr. Doherty is the owner of Aurum Geological Consultants Inc. in Whitehorse, YT and a practicing geologist, primarily in the Yukon Territory. His geological experience includes 30 years of mineral exploration and geological mapping in the Yukon. Mr. Doherty was project geologist during the discovery and definition of the Mount Skukum ore body in 1981/ 82 which is located adjacent to the Mount Anderson Project.
Gerry Gauthier, P.Eng. – Director
Mr. Gerry Gauthier is a professional Mining Engineer with 35 years of experience in open pit and underground operations. Highlights of his career include 15 years with Lac Minerals in key management roles as well as 11 years as a consultant and in senior operating positions with Glencairn Gold Inc., Conquest Resources Limited and United Keno Hill Mines Limited.
Mr. Gauthier is an experienced mining engineer who is, in his present position as Nevsun’s Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the completion and operation of the Tabakoto Mine in Mali and directing the feasibility Study of the Bisha gold, copper and zinc project in Eritrea. Mr. Gauthier’s experience in mineral exploration and mine construction will be extremely helpful to Gold World as it seeks new gold properties in China.
Peter Schmied - Director
Mr. Peter Schmied is an experienced executive with global responsibilities as Executive Vice President for 12 Divisions of Magna Decoma Trim. Magna is a company with plants located in North America, Europe and Asia, including several 100 percent owned plants in China which produce a variety of products for the automotive industry. Mr. Schmied has an entrepreneurial background and took early in his career managerial responsibilities within the Magna Group of Companies starting as Technical Manager in 1984 and is holding since then various positions, including Vice Presidencies, Chief Operating Officer and as President of Magna Interiors with global sales of U.S.$ 1.4 Billion under his management. Mr. Schmied in his current position, besides running the day- to-day operations, is responsible for developing and implementing new business strategies and acquisition management.
